"I Still Roll in the Grass (I Still Play in the Leaves) is an exploration in materiality and function in art-making. Tasked with developing a tool that allows a drawing process to be completed without using your hands, this piece uses a rolling motion to create marks upon a surface. Reminiscent of a freedom from childhood, the collection of materials and the motion required for said mark-making brings the wear back to a time without the prefectionism of academia."
